Crazy?

As proud and humbled as I am to have one of my stories awarded story of the week, I'm not as thrilled by its description as a "crazy" story. I've seen way too many creative thinkers labeled as "crazy" or dismissed as "what have you been smoking". I've made it a personal mission to recognize and reject such comments.

The original meaning of the word "weird" is "magical".

My story is only as magical as real life because everythng in it is true according to my experience and the experience of the hatter who told me the story of Leo's fitting and sold me the hat.

Life is full of magic, more magic than there is in your philosophy, Horatio.

This story is the last segment of a much longer story that I hope you will read in order to get the full impact. By itself, it's a snippet with limited arc. Even then, it's not crazy nor am I nor are the legions of creative people who have to face that demeaning observation on a semi-regular basis.

Thank you very much for providing me an opportunity to activate an ongoing crusade.

Somebody once called my writing 'completely hatstand', which would be a handy completement to your story.

yes indeed on many levels

Someone once said my writing exhibits clear signs of father hunger and a meat fetish. Couldn't argue with that.
