Story and Poem of the Week and Inspiration Point

We're in the middle of Storm Eunice here, with a red weather warning, and I'm sitting under a glass roof as I write this - possibly over-optimistic, but ok so far!

I hope everyone else manages to stay safe, keeps their power on, and doesn't lose too many roof tiles.

Anyway, reading through all the wonderful pieces you've posted has been a wonderful distraction - thank you so much for keeping ABCTales such a vibrant, supportive place

My choices for this week are as follows:

Story of the Week goes to hudsonmoon for Renaldo in Love which was a brilliantly funny sideways contribution to Valentine's Day.

A very honourable mention to Terrence Oblong's Grafting Haddock in the George which I couldn't even begin to explain, but it's great. Read that too.

Poem of the Week goes to Ewan's Looking Down and Up which has stayed with me since I first read it, and which pretty much sums up these interesting times.

Two honourable mentions for poems (amongst many) are onemorething's wonderful Hares in a Field and D Marie's contemplative Fallen Leaf
