Poetry Book Awards 2025: Results

Well, I made it into the top 10 but was not a prize winner.
Got a nice mention by the judge though:

"Compiling a longlist was a difficult task indeed; getting it down to a shortlist—agonising. Aside from those I have chosen for the top 3 places, a number of poets really stood out... Lille Dante takes on the past and present with fresh, provocative, and image-rich poetry."

But I'm delighted to share that Catherine fared better:

"Catherine Poarch—I loved this book so much that I asked the organiser to set up a new prize for it.

The Children’s Poetry Award

In this, our first year, the award goes to Catherine Poarch, for her book, ‘Inside Elephant‘. She also receives a prize of £100."

So kudos to her!
