Son of September Available for Pre-Order!

After a long time in the drawer, my novel Son of September is out. It's available now on Amazon for Kindle, with a paperback to follow.

The summer of 1991, two foster children in South Florida start hearing a voice through equipment that should be dead. It tells them what's coming, and the day it arrives, and that they're the only two placed to stop it. What follows is nine years of getting them ready — and the slow question of who they become in the meantime.

That's as much as I'll give away. It's a quiet book more than a loud one; the dread is in the waiting, not the noise.

If you read it, I'd be glad to know what you made of it. And if you'd leave a line about it wherever you leave such things, that helps a first novel more than I can say.

I'll try and order it. But I'm not sure My Kindle works any more. Amazon said I need an update (by which they mean buy the latest Kindle).

The paperback edition will be added soon. It requires a bit more formatting, but it should be available in the next few days.

I left a review of the paperback version on Amazon UK (Jay kindly let me proof read it, and it's great).

Trying to leave a review on the Kindle version didn't work though.  Maybe Amazon is clever enough to know that I haven't actually bought that.

I saw that review, thank you! I guess the UK version has gone live first. It appears I have accidentally released the paperback version NOW. The Kindle version will still be released on Septemeber 1st. However, you can buy the paperback in the UK here:
