Prologue
A familiar stranger, a mysterious past, one large conspiracy. Miami native Lucas Wright has struggled with living under the shadow of his vampire hunting father and brother. Having no interest in the business, he chose a different path for his life by going to law school. With the police academy and bachelore's degree under his belt, he's set. There's just one problem: he's dying. Determined not to sink into depression, he decides to spend the rest of his days living life to the fullest. Then everything changes when a shocking crime becomes personal and he can no longer deny the facts that are right in front of him. Will he remember his past or will his affliction claim his life before it's too late?
