The World of Asperah

In my youth I created this world. Not my best performaces, but it brings back memories and I find it quite amusing.

"Fragments - The Broken Bonds" - Chapter 9 - Galen of the Elves

"Is he the one? A voice said from somewhere across the street along the marketplace. A woman in a wide brimmed hat stood there in her deep green jerkin and brown cloak, talking to another merchant.

"Fragments - The Broken Bonds" - Chapter 1 - Call of the Carithe'

Somewhere within the dense forest encircling the city, a group of cloaked figures could be seen gathered over a small fire. An elderly figure presided, raising his hand to gain the attention of the others present. He was clothed in deep blue, with a wide brimmed hat placed upon his long, graying hair. "Children of the Carithe'¦. He began. "Hear my words.

"Fragments - The Broken Bonds" - Chapter 10 - Spilled Blood

The reputation of the Forest of Mists is well known, often used by elders to scare unruly children to obedience. That night, the fog was unusually thick, and one might conclude the intervention of spells to conceal the cloaked figures gathering about in a small circle within the heart of the said woods.

"Fragments - The Broken Bonds" - Chapter 11 - Kimorh's Castle

Nathaniel's heart was racing. He breathed in quick, short gaps. Running was definitely not one of his favorite activities. The yfreen scouts have spotted him some few hours earlier and from then, he spent most of his time dodging claws, hiding in boulders and crags, taking a dip or two in murky swamp water and the like. Smoke powder was almost out. He only had three small pouches left in his bag. Afterwards, he would be totally defenseless.

"Fragments - The Broken Bonds" - Chapter 12 - The Inofrii's Search (unfinished)

Lander's form materialized at the base of the mountains. He sensed the medallion nearby¦the medallion of Tiber, mark of the throne's keeper. The moonlit skies were peaceful that night, and the inofrii looked up to watch the events of the past wash over him like a flood. Ten summers ago, when the battle against the inofrii was just beginning, he was prince Lander of Tiber, keeper of the holy land's throne, commander of the phoenix knights.

"Fragments - The Broken Bonds" - Chapter 2 - Legends of Asperah

"Asperah begins with the void, like most other worlds, Nathaniel. Giorno began the tale that brought forth their world. "This region of the aether was under the guidance and protection of the high immortal Ambross, the all-father as we know him to be.

"Fragments - The Broken Bonds" - Chapter 3 - Immortal Realms

Far above the heavens, eternal eyes witness Giorno's reenactment of history. Memories that were unearthed since the beginning of time¦memories of what should not have been, yet fate would have it so.

"Fragments - The Broken Bonds" - Chapter 4 - The Festival

Paris reeled from the first blow. Blood trickled down his chin as he fell back a few steps, gauging his opponent. The festivities have already begun and the crowd cheered at their favorite players in the fisticuffs competition. On the platform, he was no longer a young, flame-haired soldier of the lion army but a contender for this year's trophy. Unfortunately, so was his draconian opponent. Among all the warriors that join the jousts, the dracona were most feared. Their thick scaly hide makes up for twice the normal armor's strength, and coupled with their magical attributes and natural fighting skills, they are truly the mightiest fighters in all the land.

"Fragments - The Broken Bonds" - Chapter 5 - Trial and Execution

"Paris, Paris¦.any one of these charges would immediately send you traveling to the gallows with record speed. Troy said, motioning to the guards with him. "I believe you are waiting for your precious commander Scryer to arrive and save your hide? You would be long dead by then, dear Ironheart. Captain, take him to the square.

"Fragments - The Broken Bonds" - Chapter 6 - The Chase to Jurom

Nathaniel awoke from his laboratory only to hear the sound of horses charging through the woods. Last night was definitely something to be remembered. It was the first time he had that much to drink and he did not even remember how he got home. "Probably his master Giorno spirited me back when he noticed I had too much already¦ He groaned. "What in Asperah is all that racket?

"Fragments - The Broken Bonds" - Chapter 7 - The Marketplace of Jurom

"Stop thief!! The cry rang through Paris' ears. His thoughts were interrupted by the squawk of chickens and stalls overturning.

"Fragments - The Broken Bonds" - Chapter 8 - Mount Gerion

Nathaniel was very busy that day, finalizing some potions and pills he needed for the journey, securing watertight pouches for his smoke powder, as well as memorizing a handful of spells he thought necessary. The journey will be a hard one, but getting the Skull Orb is the hardest part of it all. Sera had given him all the needed information, including the location of the item. Sadly, the ceremonial room deep within the bowels of mount Gerion is his target. It would have been a lot easier if spells did actually work in the realms of Kimohr, but one will have to be of equal level or given permission by the archjourdain before a spell can be cast in such a place.

ASCENCION - The Age of SilverMoon

The dripping of rainwater from the hellknight's cloak was the only sound that echoed in the chilling darkness that night, adding to the soft clang of metal boots as he walked across the aisle of Ansha's temple. Here he was, lost time and again in the memories of the past, broken oaths and shattered trust. His mind continuously ran through the myriad possibilities of what would have and could have been if he had made the right choices¦then again, who decided which was right and which was wrong? Fate¦ he blamed it all on fate.

Asperah Aftermath - Chapter I

It was early spring in Thean. At this time of year, the season of the goddess Anshae, wildflowers grow abundantly in the meadows of the outlands.

Asperah Aftermath - Chapter II

“Ellisien mythera tos!” Came the loud cryptic words from deep within castle Thean’s royal chambers, followed by a shattering of a brittle glass cup as well as the nearby windows.

Asperah Aftermath - Chapter III

The king paced back and forth across the throne room. Its vastness outmatched any other room in the castle save the dungeons deep below the bowels of Thean.

Asperah Aftermath - Chapter IV - Incomplete

“You’re quiet.” Aren said softly, walking up to the princess. “I’m sorry about earlier. We definitely got off to a bad start.”
