ABC Event?

With all the new people about.. and some of the old ones wanting to meet each other again, is it not a good time for an ABCTales event?

We could have stories from the recent competition read out and the winner anounced there... amongts the usual readings.

Also an opportunity for TC to offload some of his old mugs..

TC?

I can vouch that Ely is really as tall dark and handsome as he sounds on the forums. He is also just as funny in real life. The bastard.

Oh big bums! I have just seen that April 20 is the date I have booked to go and see Hecuba - with an old mate of mine who has just taken up acting at the ripe old age of 52 in it - along with Vanessa Redgrave. It's been booked for ages and can't be changed. I dearly want to be with you all but it's looking difficult. We can change the date but this seems to be a good one for you lot. Oh grrr....

Rokkit - you wish you had the money.... Guess what... I don't either, but thought if I couldn't make a bold move when my home etc was the on the line, then I would always be waiting until the time I had enough money. i.e. never. I hope you do all go... am looking forward to seeing you in real life.

I wouldn't mind a picture of me with Fish but I was with Tanya at the time George came round with his camera.

hurray curiously I too was thinking about this, hoping it wouldn't clash with my holiday - and it doesn't. Is this evidence of some communal abctales hyperbrain. [%sig%]

I hope to make it Gerry! And Missi, I hope you're not confusing me with 'Smiley' who seemed to be giving you some grief the other day. I am a happy smillie person, as opposed to a bitter twisted one! Hope to see you all there. [%sig%]

Smillieboy, my comment was meant in all seriousness, and referred to yourself. I think it would indeed be interesting to meet you. The other person I have NO interest in meeting. Seeing his photograph was enough for me.

why Liana! you little minx! I swore you to secrecy about my appearance and you've gone and let the very true and, in fact, overly modest cat out of the bag. that's the last time I climb into your bedroom with a box of chocolates and a pair of skis. bloody snagged my best black tux on the fence too! Still, it was worth it and I have to admit I swore you to secrecy on the way OUT by which time you were still bouncing off the walls like an orgasmic tornado and over using the word 'YES!' to a great degree so it's little wonder you weren't paying attention. Unfortunately I had to get out as the helicopters were circling over your house and the steam in the bedroom was warping my dickie (bow!) so I'll let you off.

Well, I can be interesting, but it is in fact an illusion. I met Gerry at the Brighton event and he can testify that I have peiods of being lucid (ish). Look forward to meeting you to George, we can be interesting together. [%sig%]

The absence of kangaroo shit will make it all the more enjoyable.

A Strange thing for a happy smillie person to say smileboy "I am a happy smillie person, as opposed to a bitter twisted one!" - why, have there been rumours? :o)

By the way George, I've seen pictures of you too and it made me realise that you had neglected to mention that the two cars you passed when retrieving your wallet were stuck in a traffic jam ;o)

Would you please just confirm, Smiley, whether you are Mykle?

Aww man... I've been waiting for an abctales event in London for sooooo long! I mean, I might not be able to come, but then again, I might just have to! Always a riot.

I think the best answer I can give is - I used to be ;o) Some may remember that I was having horrendous problems with young teenage vandals and trying to find someway to live with the stress. In the end I took Karl's advice and moved. Now I live on a lovely, quiet, estate about 5 minutes from the beach of South Bay in Scarborough and I really am smiley most of the time :o)

Oh, then hello, Mykle that was! Ely - I've seen the pic too!!! x

Erm... would like to point out at this juncture that I do not mail pics of Ely everywhere.

I can confirm that, Ely. I saw at least eighty pictures of Czech people I've never met before yours came up. And Liana takes a very good photograph, so you've nothing to fear.

Yes, to add to that, I was encouraged to understand the privilege with which I was honoured at gazing upon your portrait, Ely...;-) I'm just annoyed Liana's never offered me any of those Milk Tray!

no Neil, it's just A fish not our Fish unfortunately, although I'm sure she would induce the same gormless expression of disbelief as I'm sure she's gorgeous (but haven't seen her either) .. see? all the more reason to go to an ABC event but, alas, I cannot.

Mykle, EVERYONE has seen pics of me. Are you going to be the same old same old used to be?

I have no qualms with Liana showing people a picture of me. (although I haven't seen the pic myself and so should probably ask for a little more editorial control here... no, to hell with it, I trust Liana implicitly and it's not like I'm David Beckham or anything) (I just hope it's a nice one and not one of me picking my bum with a distracted look on my face or walking into the edge of a door or something)

Hurrah! I am just in the mood to go to an abc event. And the 20 April is the week before I turn 28, so I will be in celebratory mood. There is no way I won't be going to this - I was completely gutted to not be able to get to the one in Derby. *fergal gets her best lipgloss out*

fergel. Welcome to the club. I to walked out out of a 6 year career not so long ago. Everyone thought I had gone nuts, assumed I was having some sort of break down. (I probably was), but if so it was because of the job. I was pressured in to returning to that career for well over a year, but I stuck it out and now I'm my own boss and things are beginning to work out. So well done, stay resolute and power to the people!

Luckily i'm in a lovely job where i'm appreciated and valued as a human being. When i tried to es.....leave a while ago they said. 'Don't go 2464.....we need you to stay, you're an appreciated and valued cog....we mean a member of our team, you did know that didn't you 2464?' Well i didn't, and even though my number is actually 2484, how could anyone leave a caring humane firm like this after hearing warm sentiment like that. Brought a tear to my eye it did, even though they docked an hour off me pay for threatening to go... i thought a small price to pay though don't you think?

I had NO idea you were in possession of an immensely long post! I heard about a rich widows club in Florida that squanders ridiculous amounts of cash on guys such as you. The minimum post length being 10".
