READING NIGHT COMING UP!

ABCTALES READING – LONDON, 3rd FEBRUARY

We’re happy to announce our next abctales readings evening, all set to take place in London on Saturday, 3rd February.

Yes, a Saturday! We’ve been thinking that holding it on a weekend might give more of you a chance to take part than on a school night … and give us more time for socialising before and after the event.

It’s an opportunity for anyone to come along and read their work – poetry or prose – to a small audience of fellow writers, family, friends and lovers of literature. We hope to see some new faces – no matter how long you’ve been contributing to the site – but also very glad to see those who have taken part before. It’s great fun to read your work to a friendly audience, and to listen to fellow abctalers share their creations – and it’s always good to meet each other face-to-face.

The event will take place at the usual venue, The Wheatsheaf, a historic pub with a great atmosphere, 25 Rathbone Place, Fitzrovia, W1T 1JB (just north of the eastern end of Oxford Street), and will run from 6.30-9.00. Readers take part for free; for others it’s £5 in the honesty box – well, beer glass – that goes to support acbtales.

Anyone wishing to take part can contact mark@abctales.com. We’re looking forward to hearing from you.

Cerasus Poetry will be there, plus a support gig by the Wages of Sin.

Yes indeed! Platform heels at the ready....
