Many apologies to those of you who are receiving this email again. It seems that the original only went out to some of you on our email list so we are re-sending it. We believe that we have now sorted out the technical blip that caused this.

ABCtales April 2009 Newsletter

Dear ABCtalers,

It is with great pleasure that we are able to announce the arrival of a new service on ABCtales – ABCtales Radio.

From today onwards you are able to record your own stories and poems and get them out to the whole wide world. You can also opt to get a well known actor read your pieces and have them available to one and all.

We are charging for this service – we have to make a living somehow (!) – but we have tried to set our prices at a fair and reasonable level for all. Prices start at £20 for stories and £10 for poems.

You can see the new service at http://www.abctalesradio.com. There is a link on every page of http://www.abctales.com to the new site.

For the first two weeks we are offering this new facility to all of you at half price. We are going to launch the service to one and all at the end of these two weeks so we really hope you will take advantage of this offer and help us to build a decent library of stories and poems for our official launch.

We are always happy to hear what you think of us – be it the new radio service or our offering at ABCtales.com – and you can either write directly to us at tcook@abctales.com or start up a discussion in the forums at http://www.abctales.com/forum.

ABCtales has been going from strength to strength of late – traffic is up by over 30% in the last three months and the quality of writing continues to increase. Two more of our members have gained excellent publishing deals – Tim Claire and Richard Aronowitz-Mercer to join Joe Dunthorne and Drew Gummerson who both had major hits with their first novels last year. If you haven’t yet read ‘Submarine’ by Joe or ‘Me and Mickie James’ by Drew then I suggest you do so immediately!

The Story and Poem of the Week continue to showcase some of the very best writing on the site and these can be found from the links on the Home Page or by going directly to http://www.abctales.com/node/546293 or http://www.abctales.com/node/546292. We also give you a spur to write each week with our Inspiration Point and these are proving more and more popular. There’s a link on the Home Page or go directly to http://www.abctales.com/node/546833 for this week’s prod.

We do depend on your donations to keep us going or you can buy an ABCtales mug to bring you joy as you sup on your cuppa at http://www.abctales.com/node/542612

If you are broke then just help us by clicking on the ads throughout the site – each time you click, we earn!

There’s a number of new developments on the way and we hope that you will like what we have on offer. Our community of writers and those that love to read is growing and growing – tell your friends, colleagues and relatives about ABCtales.com and help us to continue to get better and better.

All the very best,
Tony Cook and the team.
