How significant?

http://www.freewebs.com/michaeljamestreacy/

Is today's global-warming-by-human-hand just a techno-myth on a par with yesterday's UFOs, Loch Ness monsters, Abominable Snowmen, Roswell Aliens, faeries-at-the-bottom-of-the-garden, goblins and foul fiends, the impending realisation of the Book of Revelations, the God-like qualities of Jesus Christ?

Considering that the next few generations of mankind will probably turn planet Earth into a gigantic theme park and establish colonies throughout the solar system... how significant is an average rise in Earth's atmospheric temperature of 0.5 degrees centigrade over the last 100 years?

You mean there *isn't* such thing as the Abominable Snowman!?
http://www.freewebs.com/michaeljamestreacy/index.htm I shudder to forward this... but I've 'seen' the abominable Snowman... and his name is 'Legion-in-a-teacup'.

It's very significant young shire. The reason being: we ARE the only species originating from this planet who have the expertise and psychic ability (call it intuition or phophesy or whatever you like) to forsee leaving the planet before it leaves us - in the shite. So, unless you want to be a cow, chewing the cud, wake up! Get-up and shake yourself up before you bake - k?! There's nothing more mind-teasing than the incomprehensible eagerly avowed - Dennett

http://www.freewebs.com/michaeljamestreacy/index.htm K, Yan. But half-a-degree... when there ain't no faeries-at-the-bottom-of-the-garden... when we're about to thermostatically control the Earth's temperature... when we're about to set the solar system on fire. ...and The Lord sed, 'Answer the fooking question, Yan.'

Shack, you left out Sasquatch...he sleeps on my sofa/hide-a-bed from time to time. He eats my burritos and emits greenhouse gas in volume. Visit me http://www.radiodenver.org/

http://www.freewebs.com/michaeljamestreacy/index.htm Is it possible that the methane gas emitted by Sasquatch (and his muckers), whilst eating burritos... could be the main factor in global warming? I did that read somewhere that Japanese cows were contributing significant amounts of methane gas to Earth's atmosphere... but I thought they were eating Japanese grass rather than burritos. ps. Wot's a burrito? Is it a bit like a cheese 'n' chives crisp?

Pigs are pretty bad for letting off gas. Don't mexican pig farmers have filters? I believe the emissions help power the farm. There's nothing more mind-teasing than the incomprehensible eagerly avowed - Dennett

Mexican pig farmers have filters? What, like Spam Filters? Like, little plastic sieves on their bovine bottoms? Filtering out all the noxious verbo-anal crap and poorly disguised ads for viagra and self-help flanges and recipes for radish ragout and so forth? Or is it just streamlined socio-sanguine saffronited sambuca? Who'd Adam'n'Eve it, Mr Bond? ~PEPS~ You can’t finish a man till he’s finished his Texan Bar

http://www.freewebs.com/michaeljamestreacy/index.htm Let's just stop and think for a minute... the number of large mammels that inhabit planet Earth... the incredible volume of methane gas that is constantly being expelled... can't we harness this in some way? Is that the next great scientific breakthrough-waiting-to-happen? Could methane gas be the answer to the earth's future energy requirement? Is there an economic way of capturing all this methane gas? Or will this also create some future, imagined, ecological catastrophe? My brother is such an accomplished expeller of methane gas, that he can actually play 'Colonle Bogey' though his rear end.

I read somewhere that 22% of greenhouse gas each year comes from livestock. I don't know if this is fact or not, but it seems to me it was a reputable source (not that I know any) Visit me http://www.radiodenver.org/
