searching options

I am a new(ish) user still finding my way around the site and struggling with sifting through the (ever growing) amount of stories and poems on the site.

I applaud the new 20-30-50-100 viewing options.

Some other changes I'd love to see:

- the option to conduct more 'advanced' searches that combine the searching options already available, such as 'Genre EQUALS Humour' AND 'Times Read'

- being informed of the number of stars something has been awarded (as well as 'times read') before reading it

- the option of viewing one's own stories/poems (as a reader would view them) without each viewing counting towards the 'times read'

- the option of easily changing the name of any ABC set

- room for a few more characters in the 'one line description' for each submission - it seems to me that there is room for a few more characters without affecting the layout of the story/poem lists

It would be outstanding if the site had (even a crude) index. Perhaps each writer could be able to submit a few keywords with each story/poem and these could be used for a keyword database. Full text searches, like the current 'story search' search are sometimes unhelpful.

I've recently read complaints about the ABCness of the site, but better searching options could help to alleviate the limitations of this emphasis.

Anyone else have any thoughts?
