Being polite amr, I think your excessive use of punctuation has put people off contributing to this discussion seriously. As a writing website, people do tend to take the English language as something to be respected. There is never a good reason to use more than one exclamation mark at the end of a sentence. The exclamation mark indicates surprise - therefore more than one are redundant. In answer to your questions :- 1. You have 19 goats, 9 dead ones. 2. Trick question - the answer can either be three or two. In my opinion, using the expression 'took two out of them' implies that you do something else with them - give them to another person or eat them, rather than move them to a different room. However, the answer is three. 3. Of course the 4th of June exists in Hawaii. I suspect the question was actually 4th July, meaning that we should be misdirected to the US public holiday rather than the date itself. 4. Another trick question - it was Noah who took animals two by two, not Noah. So the answer you are looking for is none. However, once you start playing pedantry, you expose yourself to risk. If Moses had four calves and ate one in his lifetime, he took one calf, didn't he? So the answer is none/unknowable amount. 5. Again, the sloppiness of the question makes it unclear. The question should actually be "Is a man allowed to marry his widow's sister in California?" - to which the answer is technically 'no' (a marriage has to be between two living people and he is dead, or he would have left no widow). Anyone who answered that question 'no' thinking of prohibition on inter-family marriages would still be correct. The way you have phrased it leaves it possible, however, that the question is whether a man could marry his widowED sister - the answer is still no, but because a man can't marry his sister. 6. A sloppy trick question - you have one birth day (the day you were born) but it is so widely accepted that the anniversary of the date of your birth is called a birthday that the trick of the question simply collapses. It is a nonsensical trick question. The answer is one plus one for each year of your life. 7. 12 months contain 28 days, the trick is that you think it implies 'only 28 days' 8. Define 'lighter' - when talking to physics junkies these things are important. If you mean mass, they are of the same mass. If you mean weight, it depends whether they are subject to the same gravitational forces and if you mean density, the lead is more dense. But the answer you want is 'they weigh the same'

I'd heard most of them before (which is the only reason I knew what some of them meant) so chose not to join in. I always liked this one: if a plane crashes exactly on the bordere between two countries, where do you bury the survivors?
