Anybody think that Donaldson's Unbeliever would make an interesting movie follow up to Lord Of The Rings? The Hobbit would be OK but Covenant could bring a lot of passion and humanity to the Sword and Sorcery film genre. Probably not for the kids though....

No. I think they're dreadful books with completely unlikeable characters.

I found them unbelievably frustrating to read; I kept flinging the books down in disgust then going back to them a day or two later to find out what happened. They are very imaginative, with good strong story lines but my goodness do they need editing!! Someone should have gone through the proofs with a red pen cutting out huge chunks of "verbiage"! [%sig%]
