Parkinson's Awareness Week

I would just like to thank everyone who took the time and trouble to read my daily posts during Parkinson's Awareness Week, particularly those that stuck with me till the end. I know sometimes it must have been a dry old read but it is very much appreciated and I do believe I managed to raise awareness. So a very big thank you!.

Moya

Moya, I think it is us that should be thanking you for telling the story with such great style and humour! So THANK YOU!

Hello Jolono, Oh, that is such a nice thing to say. I really wasn't sure about putting it up at all because I thought people might think I was being a bit self indulgent. A whining Winnie. But then I thought it's not about me it's about all the other people who suffer with the condition and a lot from a young age. And thank you also for your comment about style and humour. Moya

Hi Moya. I feel ashamed to say I've missed your daily posts during this very important week. I was totally, unaware - sorry. I will try and catch up. Listen, Moya... you are not capable of producing a 'dry old read' as you put it and I take jolono's word above that you told the story with great style and humour because that is you all over. I know you will have done a great job in the past week in maintaining awareness for Parkinson's and so... Well done, girl! Trev

TVR

Hello Trev, Please don't worry about not reading my posts. I know how difficult it is to keep up with other writer's work. I try to read something from everyone who reads stuff of mine but I know I miss some out. Thank you also for your kind comment about not being able to produce a 'dry old read.' I popped over to re-read your poem for your fortieth last night because what I have written so far for our fiftieth is total rubbish and not at all what I want to say. Must try harder. Moya

My husband has asked me to thank you, Moya, for all your hard work of last week (and to congratulate you on your skill as a writer). It is only through people like you, who are brave enough, and have gumption enough, to take that old proverbial bull by the horns and tell the world, 'like it is', that one day, hopefully, we will beat that old devil Parkinson, once and for all;-) Tina

Hello Tina, Thank you for your kind words and thank your Husband too. However, at the end of Awareness Week, Linda lost her beloved father, also a Parkinson's sufferer! As she has been brave enough to post this news on her site I don't think she will mind me telling you. Perhaps it will give her some comfort to know that we ABC Talers are thinking of her. Thank you once again for your generous words. Moya

Hi Moya, I really and truely thought your writing was a great eye opener, and delivered so well. I also agree with Tina that hopefully one day they will find a cure. Thankyou for opening my eyes. Jenny.

Hello Jenny, No, thank you for staying with me and taking the trouble to read these Awareness posts. I do now feel justified by the response I have had. Once again, thanks, Jenny Moya
