Sound files

I've recorded a version of one of my poems onto a sound file and was wondering is there a way to upload it to the site? Might be a nice idea for those of us who can't get to the meetings to be able to hear poets read their own work.

Hudsonmoon often does sound and video files.  You'll find what you're looking for somewhere on his pages.

It's a pretty easy process. If you just want to do an audio, I would go to soundcloud.com. Upload yor audio on the site, then copy the link and paste it on your post on abctales. For a video upload to youtube and do the same thing. One thing I've learned, is to keep them short. Good luck. I look forward to seeing or hearing something from you, London Calling.

All the best,

Rich

Thanks to scratch and Rich! This site never lets me down.

It's a really good idea.  I think I'll have a go too.

I found it quite embarrassing at first. There's also the idea that how it's read by me may not be how the reader interprets it but after a few goes I found it really enjoyable. I've always loved listening to old tapes of Dylan Thomas and Sylvia Plath reading their poetry and, whilst being nowhere near their bracket of course, always fancied giving it a go myself.
