Climbing cliffs
the pace in this piece is perfect, building up to the battle of Galipoli, i have to say it made me close to tears when i reached the end, the sheer futility of war is so eloquently described - but the story also contains hope.
A paragraph that i found particularly poignant is the one about the the cocoa being drunk in the wrong place. But i did feel it could have been worded a little more poetically - becuase it really sums up how the soldiers must have felt.
A great plot and characterisation.
