Derby Event - June 11th at The Brunswick Inn, Railway Terrace, Derby

Haven't you heard, we're not going home? Fish has big old derby and bert planned for us............

A week and a bit to go. I'm looking forward to the glitz and glamour of the first ABC event outside the metropolis. Calling all Midlanders and those willing to travel. Should be a good night really! [%sig%]

*sobs* okay - I had a good holiday permanently on the beach, Welsh sand between toes, great weather...but... *sobs uncontrollably* I wanted to meet you all soooooooo much. And I'm holiday-skint. Deflated and poverty stricken. A couple of things in the run up to this long awaited day - If you are coming (Fishbertstormrachel, you listening?) I'd love you to read. Nothing excessive, just bring along a few little scraps that you fancy trying out on an audience. I've decided that I'm going to have a little bash in the spotlight (well I am the editor you know, and I'm perhaps allowed some of the garlands and applause). So it's going to be a 'go on!' I-will-if-you-will situation. Secondly, me and David Floyd (who is going to be airing his new po faced and solem no jokes poems on Friday too) have through a faintly ridiculous situation, found ourselves with nowhere to stay on friday night... Any suggestions would be gladly jumped upon and flogged for all they're worth. Is Derby train station comfortable at three in morning, we were wondering... Ooooo, I'm dead excited about this!

Ah yes, but we are now safely booked in to Derby Best Western which looks awful posh for plebs like us. Mark / David: Rollaway beds, £15 each (plus an extra 25p for the priv of sharing with Fish and I)
