I'm reading this book by a british author and he keeps referring to things as flagged. "The flagged yard" "the flagged kitchen" what does flagged mean? I've only heard it used when referring to a person whose had too much alcohol. Ha ha

Flagstones, I'm guessing. Type of paving stone. Or that the floor is covered with union jack flags and you have to sing God Save the Queen and salute when you walk on them.
Yes, in this context it refers to stone flooring.

 

Unless of course the author actually has huge 'post it' notes which he or she attaches to parts of their home to make certain they do not forget them...

 

Weirdly, I've just read a book that mentions flag flooring - spooky, huh?
