Counting Down by Marcus

I suddenly realised that i'd meant to mention this story on this board but had forgotten. Still, better late than never :) I came across 'Counting Down' whilst browsing through the site and thought it was great. When i e-mailed the author to tell him about it, he said that it had less hits than his other stuff, presumably because it's sci-fi. All i'd say is don't let that put you off what is a really good piece of writing, whatever the genre. The opening page today talks about reading imaginative stories - i can't think of one you could do better with than Marcus' 'Counting Down.'
