Your CD is better than the original! What have I started here?
Most of my guilty pleasures are very late seventies/ eighties, because I was a mere infant in the pre-punk seventies. In fact some of CD 2 are my choices!
I would like Do The Hucklebuck, Boxer Beat, Tarzan Boy, the song about the goose drank wine by the Belle Stars, Dreadlock Holiday (have you heard the Soulwax mix of that with Independent Women? It's a beauty!), King of the Road, I can sing a Rainbow, Simon Smith and his amazing dancing bear, Devil Woman, Love on the rocks, Starry Starry Night, Axel F by Harold Faltermeyer, Electricity by OMD, Yummy Yummy Yummy I've got love in my tummy, This Girl's in love with you, Xanadu, Angel in the Centrefold, Jack your body by Steve Silk Hurley, Guitarman by Elvis (only guilty because I am a self-confessed Elvis hater) and Suspicious Minds by The Fine Young Cannibals. (Fish and Robert will know why), I've been to paradise but I've never been to me and the very insane William Shatner singing Common People by Pulp.
Oh dear.
You need to embrace the idea - songs that people might mock, but if you put them on the stereo, they'll go - actually I really like this. You have no idea how much I scorned the idea of Cilla Black until I heard the song and fell in love with it.
You're still having a problem with me arent you Denser? Didn't a good nights sleep solve it? Or have you been awake all night fuming?
Relax.... relax. You don't annoy me half as much as I appear to infuriate you...
sheesh... get a sense of proportion here pal.
So there was a posibility that Garth Brooks or Reba McIntire fans might have ridiculed you for enjoying Miles Davis or Charlie Parker.
If that's true......that is scary.
Liana,
You overestimate your influence my dear. You exist only when I'm bored and have a few moments to peck on a keyboard for my own enjoyment. I'm a multi-tasker to the nth degree. You're occupying about .0004 of my clock cycles. Actually, I'm having a good time with you, I don't think you get it.
Flash,
It wasn't a "possibility", it was a reality. I felt like Kafka or something most of the time. It takes all kinds of critters to make farmer vincents fritters...
Jesus Christ on a bike.
There's no point in even conversing with you... I picked you up, when you were rude and boorish to another member, and since then, you have done nothing to alter the picture you painted of yourself as an utter plank with the wit of a mollusc.
Now heres the deal... you stop shadowing me with ludicrous utterly witless insults (does *anybody* get the masturbatory one?) and I wont pick you up everytime you display yourself as a clueless moron.
Ok?

Boy, you Americans really are pushy, aren't you? Over here in England, we have a thing called manners - it seems to have exported about as well as knowledge of how to spell the word 'colour'.
