ezackly :0) religion is about LAW. The whole thing about hell is to make people obey laws, isn't it? That's how feudalism lasted so long And the idea you can buy your way out of sin, either with prayer or money. If you do something you know will hurt someone, how can you be absolved of it by murmering a few Hail Marys? And if it doesn't hurt anyone, why should it be wrong? Why IS sloth a sin? What is it with the Christian work ethic? Where in the bible does Jesus actually DO any carpentering ... And if hell is other people, and the new pope agrees contraceptives are wrong, then pretty soon the only way to escape it will be to die

And another thing.... Why do we have fossilized human remains that are 20,000 years old when the church swears up and down that we've only been around for 10,000 years?
