Millfield Arts Centre will be celebrating next week with a star studded show, as it welcomes new manager Ralph Dartford to the venue.
Ralph, who has previously worked at the hugely successful Bloomsbury Theatre, hopes to replicate the success of the central London venue for North London audiences.
Ralph said: "Millfield Arts Centre is a North London gem. A great venue that entertains and serves it's own community and beyond. A venue that is an eclectic hotbed of local and global talent.
To celebrate his first season at Millfield Theatre, Ralph is inviting patrons, press, residents and other theatre's to the venue on Thursday 24 November to launch the fantastic spring programme. The lunchtime event will include a free 45 min showcase of some of the best acts coming to the theatre in the spring.
Hoping to increase the amount of comedy, drama and live music at the venue, Ralph has managed to attract James Seabright's production of Paulo Coelho's The Alchemist to the venue, as well high-calibre musicians in the form of Glenn Tilbrook and Antonio Forcione.
The Reduced Shakespeare company are coming back the venue, despite now being household names and selling out in London's West End. Millfield regulars Chas and Dave will be making a welcome return, as will the inimitable Nick Ferrari.
The spring season launch will be attended by hundreds.. including patron's and members of the public who have supported Millfield since the start. From the most regular booker, to the longest standing friend, the oldest, the youngest, and the first person to ever buy a ticket ' everyone who loves the theatre will be there!
The 45 minute show will include 5 minute extracts from some of the best shows visiting the venue next season. All press are invited to come along to the event to have a taste of what the new Millfield programme will have to offer.
