This is an interesting poem, more like a narrative. Full of evocative imagery and some good lines like this stanza:

Any conversation, and there wasn't much
but what there was between them looked like a testing prod with a knife
like the forming and shattering of alliances,
or playing a game of snakes and ladders with their eyes and words
but there were no ladders
only snakes

Good work!

I really warmed to this poem as it went through, i found it wasnt long enough. suprisingly, and you have such a strong end to it .....polished :) "Freya was already dissolving. The moonlight was eating her up Melting her like sugar Until she was no more than a pair of eyes Human eyes, big and round and soft as a cow’s." just beautiful images.

maisie angel Guess what?  I'm still alive!
