A small French fancy¦

As I am better at French than, say, Portuguese, I thought I'd set the linguists amongst you un petit défi (that being "a small challenge, in case you were wondering)¦ The first person to translate the following gets a prize¦

1. Qui a volé le tapis?
10. L'elfe triste a un pouce pourpre.

Allez!

(NB. I have double-checked the accuracy of Babel Fish where used, but as my French is not parfait, I apologise for any errors that remain)

1. Qui a volé le tapis? Where do you keep your tapir? 2. Do you want lemon in your big cup 3. Ne mangez pas l'iguane! I don't eat iguana 4. My telephone has just turned into a steak sandwich 5. I sit on top of pierre who lies back eating cheese. 6. I don't understand why men don't have breasts 7. I would like to order something for my dog. 8. Mes odeurs de montre aiment des poissons. Something about smelling of fish 9.

PJ… There is some degree of correctness in your attempted translations (although I must confess there may be un petit margin of error on my part). Do you wish me to email you the answers? Or don’t you care enough? :-) * P * :-) ( Read my blog! - www.oddcourgette.blogspot.com )

The All New Pepsoid the Umpteenth!

No, I don't care enough but as mine was the only entry I assume I win by default and would like to know what my prize is. I am hoping it is a candlelit dinner for three with Larry and Mick! jude "Cacoethes scribendi" http://www.judesworld.net

Peps, I mean, if people *really* want to win the prize, all they have to do is cut n paste your entries right back into Babelfish; it's easy, innit. I had a little French fancy once. We danced all night in the Turkish quarter in Paris, and then.... *cough* Actually, he was a good sized French fancy. Not small in the slightest... *titter*
Check your Inbox, Jude! No more prizes, I'm afraid, but feel free, all others, to have a go at translating... ...just a bit of fun! :-) * P * :-) ( Read my blog! - www.oddcourgette.blogspot.com )
