From the beautifully crafted words of your poem I get the impression that there's a lot going on in your bed, Jenny, so I'm not surprised you can't sleep.
A very enjoyable read indeed.

These are terrible, terrible times Ralph. I've tried writing about this horrific situation myself but I can't find the words to describe the horror and dread that I feel inside.
The last two lines of your poem are perfect.
Well done...

This is a gorgeous poem Socialeaf. It brings back memories of similar experiences with my own kids and my own parents.

Lovely words Jenny.
They make me think of our dog, Snezhinka. We rescued her from the street when she was a pup so she's still a bit wild, spending a lot of time alone in the forest. I'm sure she has delusions of grandeur.

Don't let go of that flimsy branch Jenny. A bit of mulch round your roots and a mild winter and you'll be grand, I'm sure.
I completely agree with what's been said here about escapism. Reading the words of others and writing my own takes...

Great story! I enjoyed this... both parts. But I'm worried that if there is a part three it might be set in a JML women's refuge.
