I caught a glimpse of Mr Lee from your excellent description of him and his life.

Most of these gods are local boys (or girls) where I live. It's about a 100 km drive through our local mountains to arrive at the northern end of the Plain of Thrace. Thrace was the venue for a lot of the Greek mythology...
