I really enjoyed this.  The theme struck a chord with me.  I think I have been both the narrator and Scott at various times in my life, to me chagrin.  When all I've ever really wanted to be is the Satchel.

Using the music of the Specials was inspired.  It turns the atmosphere of the library into something else, at once down-to-earth, then rising well above it.  The Concrete Library. Books are after me, it ain't safe on the streets.  Loved it.

I shall be going back and reading this from the beginning as I didn't catch it on first appearance.  I've dipped into parts out of order and always found some interesting turns of phrase that strike a special chord.  Well played.
