Posted by Cerasus Poetry on Sun, 28 Jun 2026
Just a reminder there is only a few weeks left to participate in “The Way We Heard” Fiction Challenge and potentially raise £100 to help support ABCtales.
Here is a reminder of the Challenge Rules:
“The Way We Heard”: A New Fiction Challenge for ABCtales | ABCtales
So far there has been 6 Entries into the Challenge:
The Way We Heard: Singing the Blues | ABCtales
The Way We Heard: Way Down | ABCtales
The Way We Were: Abba-esque EP, June 1992 | ABCtales
The Way We Were: House of Fun, May 1982 | ABCtales
The Way We Were: Another Brick in the Wall, December 1979 | ABCtales
"The Way We Heard" - All you need is Love- 1967 | ABCtales
We still need stories to cover the 1950s, 2000s, 2010s and 2020s. Plus to fully meet the Challenge we need an extra story for the 1980s or 1990s.
Four people have expressed an interest in writing a story but have yet to post their Entry:
‘Rat Trap’ 1978: Turlough
‘?’ 1967: Luigi Pagano
‘Three Coins In The Fountain’ 1954: airyfairy
‘Dog Days Are Over’ 2008: a.j. Abercrombie
So let’s Jive, Twist, Hustle, Moonwalk, Line Dance, Cha Cha Slide, Gangnam Style and Renegade again like we did that summer.
