We still need stories to cover the 1950s, 2000s, 2010s and 2020s. Plus to fully meet the Challenge we need an extra story for the 1980s or 1990s.
Four people have expressed an interest in writing a story but have yet to post their Entry:
‘Rat Trap’ 1978: Turlough
‘?’ 1967: Luigi Pagano
‘Three Coins In The Fountain’ 1954: airyfairy
‘Dog Days Are Over’ 2008: a.j. Abercrombie
So let’s Jive, Twist, Hustle, Moonwalk, Line Dance, Cha Cha Slide, Gangnam Style and Renegade again like we did that summer.

We now have one from 2010
We now have one from 2010 courtesy of Turlough (see link above). Would I be right in thinking you need one from the 1980s and one from the 1990s to complete the set Cerasus?
As the clock ticks away...
I'm not sure why we still need one from the 1980s and one from the 1990s but I could do one of them (I don't care which) if you can get somebody else to do the other.
Turlough
Thanks Turlough - Airyfairy
Thanks Turlough - Airyfairy offered to do them earlier today - perhaps you could sort it out between you and maybe take one each?

Sorry I haven't been around
Sorry I haven't been around to monitor this closer.
I've had an offer accepted on a seaside home I intend to retire to, so have mostly been reading legal paperwork rather than fiction.
How the challenge currently stands at 8PM Friday is that there are 18 stories representing 8 decades, meeting the conditions to secure a donation of £80 to ABCtales.
However, to secure the full £100, someone other than Terence Oblong or airyfairy must write a story set in the 1980s or 1990s and someone other than Turlough must write a story set in the 2010s or 2020s.
(Please note that 4 stories were disqualified for not meeting the criteria: airyfairy's 'Three Coins in The Fountain' and celticman's 'Love Is All Around' were not contained in 1 post; Eric Marsh's 'Singing The Blues' was not based in reality; w.w.j.abercrombie's 'Dog Days Are Over' was not a number 1 record.)
If there any latecomers willing to step up and fill the gaps then I will extend the deadline.
