The Mythical in Everyday

What if sleekit was sent as a supernatural helper. This is such a stretch, there is nothing less magical or mythical to me than sleekit, the little shit, however, I am hellbent on exercising my imagination in order to grow new synaptic connections and not get any dottier, if I can help it.
So, sleekit as supernatural helper delivering a message, to be ignored at my peril. Lesson one; buy more mouse traps, the good ones with poison in them, and actually set them. Lesson Two; pay attention to the small stuff even if you’re freaking out. Lesson Three (which is a Lenormand interpretation); "beware loss of resources, loss of energy, small frustrations draining your energy, worry, anxiety, glitches or things breaking down over time". In short, pay attention to the little details. Shit adds up. (Certainly, where sleekit is concerned. It shredded and wrecked a roll of Laura Ashley wallpaper and my spare roll of green food recycle bags, then shit them out. Shredded plastic. How is it still alive?) Maybe it is supernatural, diabolically so.
It isn’t of course; the main issue is my own fault, not setting the traps. Wasn’t well, sure, but now am better, I have some traps and didn’t set them because it puts me off peanut butter and I love peanut butter. Worse than that, coming downstairs in the morning peaking around corners for dead mouse is just horrible. Worse for the mouse, admittedly. There was one I missed behind a curtain last time this happened and it’s a horror I’d rather not face again. Enough reality, let us escape into the mythical.
Relevant questions for supernatural mouse-helper: What has been slowly gnawing away at me? What have I been ignoring that needs to be taken care of?
Well, mouse poison.
That’s what.
