Prologue: A boy amidst wolves

Just an aspiring young author here, hoping to get some feedback on a prologue I'd typed up for a novel I'm working on. Set in a semi-dystopian world, full of magic and demons - usual stuff. As I'm limited to a word count, I'll try and post it in batches, though the entirety of it all is lengthy. That aside, just hoping to get some critique on what I've written thus far and any suggestions on how it could be improved would be appreciated.
