Who's our top user?

The new site allows me to see in its reporting data who is using the site the most. It makes for interesting reading. Whilst Mark and I are almost at the top of the tree we are being beaten by two other people. In at number two is the ubiquitous Tyler King (look it up son) but who do you think is Number One?

That's the list of real people though - by far the most popular is 'anonymous' i.e those who read whilst not logged in - so far they've knocked up over 406000 pages!

I think it's probably Alp. She's a prolific reader, even though she does't post much on the forums. Am I right Tony?
It's my home page as well. And now that I have installed Firefox as well as IE, I could stay logged into ABCtales all day long even if I don't use it. Ha ha. Don't plan to do that, however. I don't plan to buy an SUV either.
It's got to be Jasper.

I saw this thread and misunderstood what it meant at first, but I'm going to pursue my line of thought anyway.... I used to look forward to Story of the Week and Poem of the Week (even though my intellect stops shorts of poems that don't rhyme). And what about writer of the month? People like Gingeresque, Jude, Pepsoid (God bless those two guys and their wacky adventures), RachelCoates and many others deserve a bit of flagging up on the site outside of the forums, no? So, any plans afoot to get some ABCAwards going? C'mon, it'll not cost you guys a penny -apart from your time (and all you really need to do is have a 5 min discussion about what you've enjoyed over a ciggie and a tea)- and I always thought it was a really nice feature. With regards the actual subject of this thread, surely it's Jasper. Publish the top fifty, if poss, be interested to see. Rant over. Ben.
Ben, story and poem of the week are on the list of things to do. There's a brilliant interview with fergal waiting to become writer of the month. The reason that we're holding off is that we don't have the front page quite configured as we'd like, which is holding up the return of the features that you mention. I agree that they're lovely things to have, I remamber how excited I was when I was made story of the day (ABCtales had story of the day in those days!) and writer of the month. it really did make a massive difference to me and started me on the path to thinking of myself as someone who maybe could write. So, in short, never fear. They haven't gone, they're just arrested, a bit like big daft but sleek greyhounds held in the traps. Cheers, Mark Brown, Editor, www.ABCtales.com

That's good news. I agree, getting story of the week was a massive boost to my confidence and put me in the right frame of mind to go on and write more. Perhaps in the meantime there may be a little scope for a themed comp like 'A Winter's Tale'? (I think that's what it was called). Wouldn't have to be a prize or anything, most people would just do it for the sake of it I think, and you could post the spec for it in the writing forum - pin it to the top maybe like the 'conditions for use'... Just an idea. BTW - Marvellous news about Fergal there, well deserved - look forward to reading the interview.
And no one got the answer - it's alp! She's a prolific reader and writer and is on here loads even if she doesn't write on the forums. Just goes to show what happens beneath the surface.
Just stop dominating the fourms please Jasper. Control yourself.
Blimey, i was right about Alp! How good am I? (see my earlier post)
Ok Jasper, you go be sick and leave it to someone else. You complete arse.
Oops - missed that you got it right first time. Congrats, Tim!
