To anyone on Facebook

I'm not on facebook and have no inclination to join.

However there seems tobe a scam involving their name with either hookers or God forbid paedos.

I get e-mails in the spam box perporting to be from facebook, but they are (I suppose) girls saying, Babie, I saw you're picture on facebook, you're so cute. Chat with me on : and they give an e-mail address. I guess it's a way to get sad old men to talk dirty and pay?? I don't know I didn't open it in case of viruses.

I tried to report it to facebook, but if you're not a member it seems almost impossible and the e-mails keep coming. I've tried to stop them with Yahoo. I hope it will work, but I really think facebook should be aware of this.

Can someone who is a member report it to them, please?

Well done, you. I agree. I'm not on twitface as l think l'd turn into a bunny boiler stalky weirdo, nosin' at ex's !! I'd be reported, prob'ly xx

Seems a good idea. I do have two accounts I don't use very much and they of course don't have spam. However, I was concerned about scammers using facebook as a front. I didn't explain, the first time I had this it was labelled as from 'Facebook' and the subject said, 'Hey!' When I opened it, wondering why facebook contacted me, I found the message and realised it was a scam. I'd be surprised if facebook doesn't know this is going on. I suspect they don't give a monkeys, but in case the do care, someone should tell them. I'm not prepared to join facebook just to tell them when millions of people and website use them.

Hmm if any governments were to control the internet, I think it should be the Brits. At least there's a chance they'd make a pig's ear of it. I appreciate your advice and of course ignore that stuff, but it just pees me off.
