29.11.13 Story, Poem and Inspiration Point of the Week

It's been an exciting week for ABCtales. As you can all see the redesign has now been implemented, and with it comes a set of new features. I hope you've been having fun with them, and on the whole everything has transitioned rather well! There are, of course, more than a few bumps along the way, but we'll be working these out over the next few weeks. We'll also be experimenting with the aesthetics, so don't be surprised if you come to the site and things suddenly seem a little (or a lot!) different.

If you have any suggestions about how we could improve the site, in terms of design or function, or if you notice anything that looks off or odd or isn't working, please get in touch with me - either via the forums or at luke@abctales.com. For those of you who are coming to our get-together in London on December the 11th at the Wheatsheaf, Tony and I will be holding a discussion about the new design before the readings start, so if you'd like to talk about it in person please come by the pub around 6:30. 

In the midst of all these changes comes one of the best weeks for writing on the site I've seen since I joined ABCtales. Needless to say, it was an extremely hard week to pick out awards, but laurels go to Stan for his incredible four-part story Still Life, and to Vera Clark for A Study in Pyansky. Both are spectacular, inspiring feats of writing, and I'd encourage you to read through them a few times if you haven't already.

From now on, all picks of the week will be accessible from the home page, and I'll be doing our weekly prize and news announcement on the blog - also accessible from the home page.
