Obtaining a license to publish commercially from ABCtales

I am trying to publish a book of childrens poems with Lulu but they've told me I have to get a license from ABCtales because the poems I want to publish are the ones I've posted on this website.

It's because of this section in the websites Terms of Use:
"6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

OUR RIGHTS. We are the owner or the licensee of all intellectual property rights in our site, and in the material published on it. All such rights are reserved by us. Whether you’re a guest or a registered subscriber, ABCtales is for your personal use only. You must not use any part of ABCtales, or the content on it, for commercial purposes without first obtaining an express licence to do so from us."

I've sent an email to ABCtales using the 'Contact Us' link asking if I can obtain a license and I'm waiting for a reply.

I was wondering if I should be emailing ABCtales legal department. Who exactly do I speak to to obtain a license?

Hello Well-wisher. Usually when you click on the 'contact us' button it would come through to me and Tony but I certainly didn't recieve any emails from you yesterday evening. Try copying your original email to tcook@abctales.com (I think this is one for him) and see if that gets you any results. If not, let me know and I will chase it up!

Thankyou, insert.

I have taken your advice and done that.

And I cannot thank Tony Cook enough for his kind email which has sorted out the problem.

hooray! Very glad it's sorted - and good luck with the book - I think it's a brilliant idea

I know this is a old thread, but I have a question regarding this issue.

i just started posting my story, Shu's Adventure, on here and was wondering if I have to go through this process as well when I am ready to publish it. It will be a while before I do, due to all the editing needed, but wanted to make sure. :)
