Not a Writer? Not a problem ... A small personal voice

Is it an accident that your eyes are czecking out this e-male?

I love reading, however, I have some things I am dying to share.

Abbie Hoffman once said that freedom of the press only applies to those who can afford a printing press. Today anyone with a PC and a copy of Microsoft Word has, in effect, a printing press on their desktop.

Indeed, without this new freedom of the press my story about the price of freedom would have a little chance of experiencing the sense of sunlight.

We hear often of the sweeping developments that take place across the world. Wars, economic booms and busts, the rapacious scramble for resources: we hear the warnings of countries in decline, the shouts of other countries in greedy triumph. We rarely see the ways in which these changes impact mere individuals.

My small personal voice is recorded under the title 'Strictly Iron Curtain.'

Please let me know in no uncertain term if I am on a right, wrong, or some kind of underground track.

Josef, .......i too found this story moving and agree with David Taub in another topic that the quibblings of the ABC Forums are merely ripples in a such a river of significance. Yet quibble we must. How do you begin to rewrite such a work and for what reader fellowship? I was particularly intrigued by the number system drawn from Charter 77. Keep on track.

Dave Indeed 7s have peppered my life. Charter of 1977 like most things in life became really just a number 77 symbolising more than words could ever explain. Only 77 could express the unexpressable ... David whom I came across only recently at the ABCTales (in fact, in the 7th month of the new millenium) has been a tower of encouragement. Not only a poet, but a thunder & soul mentor who tells one and all ' Do not take any notice of rejection letters.' Unlike a certain British member of the royal astronomical society, David falls into a catagory of people who take very little notice of the fact that mathematically heavier-than-air flight is IMPOSSIBLE. The price of getting published is to believe that there is never enough stories on earth. Even if you happen to write it in order to justify your own humble survival.

Josef, I found the story powerful and moving.. I have visited your country but long after the events that you lived through....I think you are on the right track.
