The Girl I Miss Most by ged backland

This is just a lovely little piece. Some of it is laugh out loud, some of it is twee and the whole makes for a delightful portrait:

Possibly the best thing I have read on ABC; funny, sad and deeply moving. I may give up posting :-) Seriously, a very good piece. regards Ewan
Thanks Ewan Never give up posting your work If you liked this look at Don't Jump I'll miss celebrity squares on greatwriting.co.uk ged

GED, The piece is winsome, funny and tragicomic. If this woman didn't exist for real, you made her so. You drew a vibrant portrait of someone we would all like to meet. Thanks for the smile. J.X.M
http://www.myspace.com/ralphieloveplusone I thought that this was lovley. It hits the funny bone and the tear duct all at once. Hornbyesque even.

excellent, a compelling read. If she's real i wish her all the hope I can muster to make it back. Juliet

Thanks, She's real, a lot of her is based on my wife and I was writing my worst fears when I imagined how she'd go. Ged

First day I've been on the site and I really loved this, the posters above have said it all. Compellingly beautiful. Matt
Brrr, don't even have a comment to add. I think this is ace. Not sure I have ever read anything like it. I never post on fiction, but this is the exception. Except I am not really saying anything. Dammit. What I meant was, this is the only piece of fiction that has held my attention for more than three hundred words. And I think it has a knitting rhythm to it. Have to say, and please excuse me, I am not a fan of the title. That is my only criticism and I am the meanest critic in the world. Thanks, Span
