I am almost speechless; is there no end to this obsession with quasi-famous people. No doubt the winner will get an f-ing book deal. Murder most famous indeed: I'd like to kill the moron that thought this one up. I hope Minette Walters enjoys the money.

I'm with you on this one. I nearly choked on my breakfast cereal (and wanted to choke everyone connected with the idea, too). I am so angry about this when you consider how many truly talented authors never even get their work read, far less handed a publishing deal on a plate. If they wanted to make television out of writing, then why not have a comp to find six talented writers and offer them the opportunity to take part in a show? www.lorrainemace.com
