Hiding his light undfer a bushel

Imagine my surprise, while paddling around the literary websites of Europe, to find that my very own friend and collegue, the poet and thinker, practitioner of studied diffidence and all-round good egg, David Floyd, has been selected as Writer of the Month by an Amsterdam-based concern.

He shares an office with us but he didn't say a word about this massive accolade. Literary greatness, while probably assured before this, will now certainly be his. He will scale the heights of poesy and his Mum will be very pleased.

Let me be the first to congratulate you, Floyd.
