Youth Bulge Theory
Oh what? It's a theory about what causes war. There are less positions of power than there are young men, so they have a war. It's one theory. Your point would be...? Cheers, Mark

I wanted to find a new thought about war and wiki has a huge page of theories about it.Certainly primate societies need more females in them to stay peaceful.Societies and or religions who encourage high birth rate but do not encourage baby girls have the potential for BIG trouble for everyone else.Overpopulation, scarce resources, too many boy children. I was also thinking about street gun crime, gangs etc where young men empower themselves with violence and criminality. There was an idea/charity /program about promoting entrepreneurial skills as an alternative route to "success".Dont know how you do that on a countrywide scale though.

Not sure that promoting entrepreneurial skills is really an answer to this. The skills you need to be a successful organised criminal aren't fundamentally different to the skills you need to be a successful entrepreneur. You just need to be less concerned about the consequences of your actions. On the wider theory,'youth bulge' seems more interesting for the massive factors that it ignores - apparently all economic factors - than anything else.

Humanity needs bigger, more long-time goals. Might this help... http://www.longnow.org/ ...? pe ps oid What is "the art of tea"? And what does an "odd courgette" look like?

"Humanity needs more long-time goals." If you need bigger,long-time goals, then you need to have strategy to reach them, because they won't just involve one person doing what they like, and (wait for it) you can't bloody strategise while everyone idles about and does what they fancy! Get out of that one! Cheers, Mark

Not entirely clear... get out of what one? pe ps oid What is "the art of tea"? And what does an "odd courgette" look like?
