bad language filter
Hi - can anyone tell me what happens to stories with strong language?
I posted a story today and it disappeared before I had a chance to check it. Got an email saying it would take 12 hours. But I just noticed it down on the list and went to check it - I altered one piece of punctuation and it got withheld again. At this rate it'll never get onto the site let alone read - is there a way round this?
I think when you alter a piece, it has to go back through the filter again before it will be visible to others. If you gave it a higher rating for the language content they may have put it to the filter to be sure that it was acceptable for viewing. That's my guess. Hope it helps.
Hi,
Lisa is right; if you submit or alter a piece with strong language we have to check that it is suitable and non-offensive. We have to also ensure that we every piece has an age rating that is appropriate. We do not want to censor work but we do want to make sure that nothing offensive gets onto our site. That is why pieces are rechecked when they are changed.
Hope this helps. Welcome to ABCtales.

Hi Selena,
It's called the poo-bum-willy-syndrome. You'll get used to it over the course of time(hopefully)...
