In respect to an earlier point. I think Christianity felt threatened by homosexuality. I think that it felt threatened by homosexuality for the same reason it discouraged birth control; it limits the number of babies - potential Christians.

It seems to me that a fair proportion of the Christian clergy have been secretly gay - unless it’s just more propaganda.
