It has never been clear as to what made Dr Shipman murder so many of his patients. This story written after the trial, explores the possible motives in a fictional character.It starts with the doctors sincere efforts to reduce pain and misery of his patients, a kind of utilitarian approach but later on his motives change and become source of thrill and excitement almost of a sexual nature to him.
