I love it hear on ABC Tales!

Mark by Styxbroxx

I started reading this piece, yesterday night just before I left work, not having acess to the internet at home, I decided to print it and read it on the tube. So engrossed was I, that when I reached the last page I was a bit confused. Self critical person that I am, I then started calling myself an idiot for not having printed the entire thing....only to get to work today and find out, that WAS the entire thing!

It's excellent and brave. I think that I'm honest with my writting but nothing prepared me for your piece and its reality and honesty.

I found this story/poem very refreshing; it's a different style to what is common. You have used some wonderful sentences; I just wanted to keep reading it. Sometimes with structures like this you have one or two strong paragraphs, and weaker ones, but you have managed to create a whole load of good ones.

It's a great read!

A courageous and powerful poem, Soraia! Who will not identify, if one is honest?
But I am thinking of the words Saul Bellow wrote:
A man may say: "From now on I'm going to speak the truth" But the truth hears him and runs away and hides before he's even done speaking.

There are so many things I like about it, the mundane, the realiity of it. I'm able to imagine the setting and your feelings exactly. I love this:

"I hate you for thinking glass of milk
when just before now I had you
flat on your back
with your nipples,
like two frozen peas,
placed so expertly
on top of everything, everything, everything else.
Close, please, that refrigerator door."
