J B Bergstad includes trucker, firefighter, Guest Relations Department Supervisor for a major television network and thirty years of management and entrepreneurial experience in the field of transport-logistics among his career pursuits. Retiring in 1998, Jim began the serious study of creative writing, his interest focused on genre and literary fiction writing. Jim and his wife will celebrate 56 years of marriage in March of 2015. Together they have raised five children. Their offspring have taken the Bible's admonition, "Go Forth and multiply" seriously, and gifted them with fourteen grandchildren. Five or maybe six, (not sure anymore), great-grandchildren round out the Bergstad family tree. Jim has published in several prominent literary magazines and journals and is the Author of the Award Winning Short Story Collection, Screwing the Pooch. Books I & II of his Hyde’s Corner Trilogy are now available, as well as his newest collection of dark short stories, Doors to Perdition. Jim continues to work on the final installment of The Hyde's Corner Trilogy – Book III – Murderous Intentions.
