I like how you wander in and out of the painting, and memory and conversation. And like the picture, the female seems to hold up the image of the male

Even though your thoughts are wrapped up in metaphors of birds these poems are so raw. I feel like I am getting to know your emotional state like seeing birds flick between leaves. It seems rude to read them

I really admire the way  last words in the lines stand out, as with - wild, hurled, and the alliteration of wind and wild. I feel my throat opening like the sky as I read it, to make the long vowel sounds in my mind. Would be a great one to  hear...

I like the details revealing age, of taking care, of themselves and of each other, the way he holds the glass of water till her fingers grip it is so tender, the way he has to manage his heart, what he can do. Finding music he knew on the radio....
