In the city, little boys don't see stars. They may see clouds and the moon, but their eyes are blind to the stars. Some boys like to pretend that the planes that pass over head at night are stars traveling in formation. Other boys just accept the fact that they will never see stars until they leave the city. This is the story of one of those boys. A young man so enthralled with the idea of a bright and burning star that he saved up his dollar a week allowance for a train ride out to the country.
