At dinner, the sage corrects me with a glare, "Labyrinth, when I'm talking about the maze. At the time I think it doesn't matter what it's called, the words are interchangeable. Then it starts to bug me that I don't actually know if there is a difference between a labyrinth and a maze, so am compelled to look it up.

Sage shows me his killing moves this morning. 8.15am, twenty orks done for, at least. We can sleep tonight.

Journal 20th November
I write for a while then go out for another walk. I meet the gardener and youngest son. They are pottering, lots of plans about repairing things but not actually accomplishing anything as they keep changing jobs.

Is there any better chi than in the middle of a maze surrounded by all this beauty? The cows were watching me. When I finished I gave them a wave. Have been waving to them since yesterday. They haven't waved back yet, but it doesn't mean I can't. If I feel like it. And I do.
