Hello! I am an old crone who very much enjoys reading SF, urban fantasy and horror. I write all sorts, some of it SF, urban fantasy and horror, a lot of it not. Sometimes I can even be funny, so I'm told. My short stories have appeared in the anthologies 'Cold Iron: Ghost Stories from the 21st Century' (Iron Press) and 'Science Fiction For Survival: An Archive For Mars' (Valley Press), as well as in magazines ranging from the literary magazine 'Dreamcatcher' to 'Writing Magazine' and 'The People's Friend' (the latter definitely not SF, urban fantasy or horror). I do regular local spoken word events, and needless to say there is a novel on the go. My new website is currently under construction, and you are cordially invited to come and have a peep at the blogs and free stories there. You can even go mad and sign up for my newsletter! Plus the usual social media stuff. All details below. Thanks for dropping in! (Oh, the picture is of my highly critical personal editor.)

Beautifully done, a wonderful take on the 'bit of fluff'. I love the way you drop in the hints on the way to the reveal at the end. Enjoyable and chilling. My kind of story.

I'm a bit behind catching up with things this week, but it was great to find another update from you.

I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. It sounds as though you are taking a quietly philosophical view with all that. And you're...

Such a beautiful poem, Turlough. Her poetry was - is - very special. It sounds as though it was as much a privilege to know her as it is to read her words.

Such warmth in this, Rhiannon, and beautiful photographs. As Turlough said, the love is right there. It's a joy to read.

Very enjoyable. I was a real UFO fanatic in my teens, read pretty much everything there was, completely convinced. I'm glad there was no internet then because I would have been down that rabbit hole in no time! Now I'm a born again disbeliever,...

Really intrigued by this. The narrator's alienation amidst the family gathering is so well done. Very vivid. Really great IP response!

I often think, when nations are trying to find a common bond, conversations about the mystery of the lost socks would do wonderfully, as this does seem to be an international phenomenon. Nice take on the IP!
