He is like Rango, the feral cat I am feeding :0) That is a wonderful photo! I had not heard of those comic strips. I really like the rhyming in your first part, how it ends with "marmaladey shade" is great :0)
Your face has the shapes of theirs! I like very much how your poem shows two such different characters give strength to each other. I didn't know your Grampa was an MP, he looks very conscientious and honourable, so was intriguing how your last...
That made me think of carp in a different way - am used to seeing them huge and slow in small ponds, politely not bumping into each other or unsuccessfully trying to hide from the hideousness of humans. Had no idea they were dreaming of becoming...
This brilliant satire provokes ideas about many things, including personal demons, responsibility, recycling, capitalism, and sexism. It is also very funny, so it is Pick of the Day! Please do share and retweet if you can
Enjoyed this very much, too. I loved how you set up the sense of exciting history from the first line "The sun shifted on its summer throne" and there are lots of other wonderful images, eg "thieves of always" "past now becoming the present/...
Loved how every interaction with an Australian person centred around beer :0) And your photo is wonderful, exactly as you describe. Very glad you are clean and in a bed at the end! What a journey! And another part still to go!

That is a spooky looking tree

That is a spooky looking tree! Your photo looks like it is a tunnel, with a face above like a watchful gargoyle
"it stands like a
guardian of another realm; beckoning
me to enter where slithering worms
have no fear...
